As Business Analysts we use several tools to elicit, specify, model, verify and validate requirements. We may favor some of these techniques due to our familiarity with them.  However, other unknown tools, may yield significant value. As with any box of tools, it’s always a good idea to have a re-look.  One might find something very versatile and effective. One such versatile technique, Prototyping can deliver significant value across several BABOK Knowledge areas while speaking to various audience categories. A key benefit of Prototyping is its visual representation of an end-state product. This enables us to cycle through verification tasks at record pace while at the same time aligning stakeholders to a common view of a potential product. The list of Prototyping benefits goes on.
