Presentation Title: What the Coronavirus Can Teach Us About Agile

     Speaker Name:  David J. Gentry

     Presentation Abstract:
How are companies responding to the coronavirus pandemic? Is it business as usual? Are virtual meetings the
only change? How is your company responding? How is the response changing your job? Are you happy with
the changes? How “sticky” are the changes? How are the changes impacting your customers or end users?
When the impact of the coronavirus on your company is mainly over, will your company be stronger or
weaker?
Let’s look at the impact of the pandemic on firms charged with directly responding to it, for example,
pharmaceutical firms developing vaccines and companies producing Personal Protective Equipment. Which
product development approaches are being used? Why? Are these approaches amenable to work after the
pandemic?

David Gentry’s passion is product development. He has been engaged with it during a career in corporate
America and a career as an entrepreneur. He is a lifetime learner, convinced there is much more to learn than
he has time for.
A watershed in David’s career was a pointed request that he attend a public speaking course. It was excellent,
and David eventually became a “natural born speaker.” He has spoken at national, regional, and local
conferences, personal improvement, banking payment systems, product development, product management,
team psychological safety, organizational culture, and various approaches to project management.
