Topics that will be discussed - Best Practices for Joining In-flight Projects

The goal of this presentation is to focus on some of the underlying competencies that are essential  for a business analyst to succeed especially when taking over an in-flight work, moving into a new opportunity , project or account . This discourse is based on the presenter’s experiences as a business analysis consultant and includes generalizations from his real life examples.

Presentors Biography :

Thomson Mathew CBAP ® is a Senior Principal Consultant within NTT DATA’s Business Analysis Practice and is currently working as Enterprise / Senior Business Analyst at his client location Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC , Durham.  Thomson has been with NTT DATA and with the aforesaid client for over an year. During this course, he has taken up various challenging roles including BA Solutions Lead, BA Lead for NTT DATA’s Waterfall BA team, Enterprise Business Analyst, and EDW Senior Business Analyst. Most of Thomson’s assignments thus far at this client place have been short term, fast phased with multiple stakeholders and often involved taking over in-flight work with immense pressure to make it a seamless transition.   Prior to joining NTT Data Thomson worked as a lead business analyst with Accenture Consulting serving various high profile clients such as EMC2  & United Health Care . He is passionate about Business Analysis profession and has strong hands on experience with Business Analysis practices and processes.
