This session explores how Business Analysts can support sustainability initiatives from strategy through implementation by applying familiar BA practices to emerging sustainability challenges.
Participants will explore how to approach sustainability as a business transformation initiative, identify and elicit requirements for ESG and sustainability related projects, analyse and engage stakeholders, and identify opportunities to improve business processes for better sustainability outcomes.
The session will also examine the role of data and technology in supporting sustainability objectives, including how Business Analysts can help organisations define the information they need, identify gaps, and translate sustainability needs into actionable business and system requirements.
Finally, we will consider how Business Analysts can help organisations measure not only whether a sustainability initiative has been implemented, but whether it is delivering meaningful business value and measurable impact.
The goal is to move the conversation beyond sustainability reporting and demonstrate how Business Analysts can become active contributors to sustainability transformation.
Ugochi Obialo Ekoh is a Business Analyst, Sustainability professional, and Founder of Sustainable Edge Consulting Ltd, where she helps organisations integrate sustainability into business strategy, processes, and operations.
She has experience across Business Analysis, ESG, sustainability, data analytics, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement.
